Treatment times can vary based on the severity of your condition, the size of the treatment area, and your desired outcome. Smaller areas can be addressed in just 5-10 minutes while larger regions may take upwards of 60 minutes. In most cases, you can expect to be in and out of your appointment within the hour.
You’ll notice an immediate improvement to skin texture and tone. After several days results will become more apparent and will continue to improve for up to 3 months. Some patients require only 1 treatment to see an optimal outcome while others may need up to 5 sessions to meet their goals. Maintenance treatments can be done as a preventative measure as needed.
Downtime with excel® V is minimal which makes it the ideal ‘weekend’ treatment. Depending on the level of treatment you’ve undergone, you may experience redness, swelling, or slight bruising for 1-2 days post-treatment. Your skin will be extra sensitive to sun-exposure making sunscreen and protective clothing a must. In most cases, patients are able to return to work within 48 hours. Makeup can also be applied at this time.
